Duncan has practised mainly in Glasgow, on a wide range of projects, most notably the Scottish Ballet, the Luma Building and Partick Transport Interchange.

He has close working relationships with Artists involved in regenerative Art Works and is a Design Tutor at the University of Strathclyde Department of Architecture.
